In the midst of ongoing effects of an economic recession, and in the wake of hurricane Sandy, it is time to count our blessing and be thankful for what we have. Time with loved ones, good food, good drink–Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year, because it still fails to be commercialized much beyond turkeys going on sale.

Special thanks to NOE readers, who continue to drive this blog with backchannel emails and tips, comments, guest posts, and buy reading and forwarding articles. Keep it coming–and thanks for all you’ve done to help this forum thrive!

To you and yours a safe, warm, happy Thanksgiving, and feel free to post what you are thankful for here!
